A visual artist turned developer/UX researcher? Plot twist!
I am kind, goofy, and low-key pretty smart. ;) My guilty design not-so-secret secret is that I love Ikea. I also like bright colours, puzzles (the brain kind), gay stuff, and staring into the void.
I went to art school with hopes of being a famous artist, but ended up working in production and logistics for outdoor theatre and non-profits. After a while I decided lifting heavy objects wasn’t my jam, so I went back to school for Web Design and Interactive Media.
The result? A designer-dev hybrid who really likes to organize and make stuff look pretty. I think it’s a pretty rad combo.
And what would this intriguing chimera be looking for? 🦄
My pipe dream... I'm living in Berlin or Stockholm working as a full-time Developer, UX Researcher, or a mix of the two (remember, pipe dream). My employer is cool with me working remotely and in-office depending on the week's needs. The company I work for is in the health / cultural / education sector and helps to make the world a better place. It has solid values, morals, and ethics that align with my own, and are dedicated to inclusivity and diversity.
Sounds pretty amazing, right? 😍
Thanks to my production days, I can solve any problem by the count of 5.
I know enough about *most* things to do most things. And if I don't, come back in 5min.
I am a Canadian and British Citizen (thanks mom, no thanks Brexit).
I'm non-binary, Two-Spirit and queer. I use they/them pronouns, and love my queer community.
I have a moderate knowledge of German, Swedish, and French. I would love to work overseas and spruce up my lingusitical skills.
