I live and work in T'karonto (Toronto), which was formed on the traditional territories of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. T'karonto is home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island (First Nation, Inuit, and Métis peoples). T'karonto is on Treaty 13 territory.
I, myself, am Ojibway (Anishinaabe) from Robinson Superior Treaty territory in Northern Ontario. While I was born near T'karonto, my people are visitors to this land. I thank the land and water protectors of T'karonto for their work and welcome.
